8th Grade Science Assignments, May 4-8, 2020

May 3, 2020     Pat Carpenter

Wow, 8th Grade!  What a messed up last nine weeks we have had.  Here it is your last week of classes.  I am going to have you work out of Chapter 25 some this week. I am assigning no videos and I don’t think the questions will be difficult.   Please remember that your project counts as a test grade.  Please remember that if you do not or cannot do one of the projects I sent, then you must get your project approved by me before you submit it.  I have only had one person so far ask to do something different and I did approve that request. Remember to take a picture of you with your project and send it to me.  This is your proof of completion.

I am so sorry for all the disappointments you have had this year.  Just remember that God can bring good out of all of this.  Maybe He has already revealed good to you and your family during this tough situation.  Know that I wish you the best.  My prayers continue for you.

About Pat Carpenter

My credentials: B.S. in Elementary Education (grades 1-9); Masters in Education; 45 hours of additional graduate work. After 36 years in the classroom, I retired from public schools with Career Ladder III certification and rated as highly qualified to teach middle school science and language arts. I started teaching a TOCS in the fall of 2011. Family: My husband, George, and I exchanged wedding vows in 1972. We have two daughters--Anne and Aimee. Anne works in Nashville for the Health Department and Aimee is a registered nurse at Johnson City Medical Center. My faith: I was raised in church. I accepted Christ as my Savior as a child. The older I get, the more I realize that I can do nothing without Christ, but I can do all He wants me to do in His strength. With every word and deed, I am accountable to Christ. I take the education of each child very seriously. I teach whole heartedly as unto Christ. It is the Lord Christ I serve. Interests: Outside of the classroom I like to hike. I love looking at God's creation as I hike on a trail and just praising Him for His creation. My favorite form of praise is singing. I am active in my church choir and sing occasional solos, which allows me to share a part of my testimony with others.
