News in a Nutshell – Nov 7, 2017

November 7, 2017     Velvet Seaton

Dear TOCS,

It is hard to believe that it is already November.  The end of the 1st half of the school year will be here before we know it.  November and December are busy times of the year.

A couple of quick reminders.  Tomorrow November 8th is picture retakes.  There will also be sports pictures on this day.  Players are reminded to wear their uniforms (and whatever is needed for their picture) to school tomorrow.  Team pictures will be made 1st thing.  Also, shoeboxes are due in on November 15th and will be picked up on the 16th.  Please keep bringing them into the school.  The middle school will be gone on Friday November 17th and 18th for the creation museum trip.

I hope all is well with you all.  Please let me know how I may minister to you.  I am always willing to help and continually have you all in my prayers.

In Christ,

Jimmy Webb, School Administrator

Fall Picture Retakes

Just a reminder of the retake and basketball pictures tomorrow.  Fall proofs were due in by Fri., Oct. 27, and should have had retake written on it with what the photographer could do to make the picture better.

If your child plays on any of the TOCS basketball teams, they should’ve gotten an order form sent home already.  Basketball pictures are prepaid and were due by today.  Team pictures will be 1st thing in the morning, as soon as the gym is open, therefore, players are reminded to wear anything needed for pictures to school in the morning.  If  they are also having retakes made, then they need to bring a polo to change into.  Otherwise, players are permitted to wear their uniform at school tomorrow.

Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Boxes:

Gather your shoe boxes and begin packing! Don’t wait until the last minute!  The collection deadline is next Wednesday, November 15, and the dedication date for shoe boxes this year will be next Thursday, November 16th. If you need more labels, you may pick some up from the office. We will need parents help in checking shoe boxes if any one is interested in helping.  For more information, contact Donna Myers.
