I just want to take a moment to tell you some things that have noticed since August from the amazing student body that we have within our school ministry. Yes, our students struggle with their sins and temptations and we love partnering with Christloving parents who call out bad behavior for the sin that it is. You take the time to talk through this sin with your child, open up your Bible and explain, pray for them, and we often see that come to fruition with your child’s actions. I have seen countless acts of kindness, sharing, hugs, forgiveness asked and received, initiative to help, give a smile, hold a door, carry a load, pray for others, and talk through the plan of salvation from one child to another. It is a true blessing to interact with your child(ren) each day.
Today, we will be hosting an informational K-8 basketball meeting at 6:00 in the chapel. Whether you have signed up already or not, please attend this important informational meeting.
We also have a special schoolwide event, “Entrepreneur Day”, planned for Monday, October 3 from 3:15-5:15 in the gym. If your students) has an invention, idea, or enjoys making things, this is their time to share their God-given talents. We will be setting up tables in and around the gym classrooms for students to demonstrate or sell their products by grade levels. Unless you are helping the P.T.F. with this special event, please do not arrive before 3:15.
For those of you already signed up, please remember to attend Mrs. Shelley’s Monday after school Bible study “CrossTrain” from 3:15-4:00 next Monday, September 26th in the Cross Train room.
Please know that each of your families is prayed for daily and that we are here to support you and yours spiritually and academically. Please call the office if you have a prayer request that you would like added to the “School Family Prayer Concerns” section of the News in a Nutshell. I know that I speak on behalf of the TOCS faculty, staff, and other families when I say that we appreciate your prayers as well.
