Friday’s celebration was honoring to all veterans who attended (around 200), and I appreciate the efforts put into this special celebration by Mrs. Mancil, the P.T.F., teachers, students, and families who generously gave time, food, and support! Thank you to those who purchased rolls for the holidays through our security fundraiser! If you missed that opportunity and still want some, please just send the money in a labeled envelope because we have extra. From now -Thanksgiving, we will be gathering new and used winter gear for our annual Mitten Tree mission project to help keep kids warm on the Montana Indian Reservation, Fort Belknap. If your family has any gloves, hats, or coats, they’ve outgrown, please send them in with your child to place on our “Mitten Tree”. Our missionary contact in Montana will be sure they are given to those in need.

Next Tuesday, we will be dismissing early through the carline between 11:20-11:40 to celebrate Thanksgiving. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 tells us, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” The morning will be full of “old timey” activities like butter making, whittling, wagon rides, story telling, and crafting. We would like to conclude our fun with a time of giving thanks through song, so grades 3-5 and K-2 will be singing from 10:40-11:00, and the middle school and high school chorus will be singing from 11-11:20. If you’d like to join us please park and enter through the upstairs church offices entrance.

On Friday evening, December 1 from 6:00-9:00, the T.O.C.S. HS Formal Committee will be hosting a “Parent’s Night Out” in coordination with the P.T.F.. The cost is $20 per child for three hours of childcare including dinner. Please call the school office to let us know if you would like your child ages 3-13 to have fun with us that evening, and we have the correct amount of food ordered. Please know that each of your families is prayed for daily and that we are here to support you and yours spiritually and academically.

Please call the office if you have a prayer request that you would like added to the “School Family Prayer Concerns” section of the News in a Nutshell. I know that I speak on behalf of the TOCS faculty, staff, and other families when I say that we appreciate your prayers as well. In His Service, Amy Pfaff-Biebel T.O.C.S. Administrator
