Dear TOCS Families,

I know that none of us anticipated the magnitude of what was to come from the rain we received, but I also did not anticipate it being such a strong reminder of the wonderful community that we are part of. I thank God for your safety, prayers, support, and generosity to our neighborhood and that of surrounding counties that are still struggling. During the week of September 30, all clothing and household items that were leftover from TSA Days were distributed to those who were devastated by flooding.

Several important reminders for this week:

• Showcasers grades 1-5 begin practicing today and grades 6-12 this Thursday.
• 2nd grade Ox Cart sale is moved to next week
• Any and all retakes, clubs/teams/sports pictures are this Friday! (Retakes are first and then sports pictures, so come dressed and ready to begin by 8:30; the school office needs to know by Thursday if your child is in need of a retake).
• Cheer interest and informational meeting this Friday at 3:45 in the library.

Please know that each of your families is prayed for daily and that we are here to support you and yours spiritually and academically. Please call the office if you have a prayer request that you would like added to the “School Family Prayer Concerns” section of the News in a Nutshell. I know that I speak on behalf of the TOCS faculty, staff, and other families when I say that we appreciate your prayers as well.
