Dear TOCS Families,

I thank our Lord for everyone settling back into school routines, and we appreciate you partnering with us in teaching expectations of respect to authority, loving and kind behavior, a great work ethic that honors God, and praying for a wonderful year of sharing the Gospel. Due to the Lord’s provisions through some loving and dedicated, Christian physicians, T.O.C.S. will be offering FREE sports physicals this Friday evening, August 25 from 3:30-5:00 in the choir room. Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity because all of our student athletes must have a sports physical on file this year as well as a signed liability waiver/code of conduct form.

Booster basketball players and the school office will be selling Pizza Inn fundraiser tickets for the evening of September 11. All proceeds will go to support all of the booster teams, so please mark this date on your calendar, purchase some tickets, and join us in support for some delicious pizza and salad.
The T. O.C.S. Twirl Team will be hosting an important informational meeting this evening, August 22 at 5:00 in the choir/music room. This is a K-12 team that meets for practices on Tuesday afternoons from 5:15- 6:00 for K-5 and 6:00-7:00 for grades 6-12.

The T.O.C.S. Trap Team will be hosting an informational meeting for parents and students who are interested and are ages 10+ on Tuesday, September 5 at 3:30 in the choir/music room. The minimum requirements, equipment needs, and costs will be discussed that night.

The 8th graders will be selling ice cream and sweet treats every Thursday this school year, and the money will be used to pay for the cost of their 8th grade end of the year trip. The P.T.F. will also be selling popcorn on the last Friday of each month (beginning this Friday). All items are $1, and both go to support needs within the school ministry.

Our annual school store fundraiser will begin today – all year long, but prizes will
only be given for those students who login and return your paper by this Friday. We are also including our Domino’s Slice the Price pizza fundraiser that can also be handled online, or inperson, from now-September 5th. Thank you for your participation.

Please know that each of your families is prayed for daily and that we are here to support you and yours spiritually and academically. Please call the office if you have a prayer request that you would like added to the “School Family Prayer Concerns” section of the News in a Nutshell. I know that I speak on behalf of the TOCS faculty, staff, and other families when I say that we appreciate your prayers as well.
