Dear TOCS Families,
What a great time of exercise and fundraising we had last week from our walk-athon; thank you to all who participated. The pledges are still trickling in, but I am SO happy to share that all the laps and pledges have raised $3,188 ! If you still have pledges that are not yet turned in, please get them in as soon as possible. The money is being used to purchase some more wireless keyboards for computer class, a new game and mats for PE/strength training classes, and to begin saving for a new bonded mulch playground foundation that is greatly needed.
Our annual Songbee will take place this Wednesday, November 3 at 1:30. This is an exciting event that turns our worship music knowledge(traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music) into a fun competition. A few students from each grade who made it through the preliminary rounds will be competing.
Although our fall bazaar was rained out, I do hope that some of you were able to enjoy the candy bag carline event on Saturday. We really appreciate all of your generous donations and want to make good use of the apples and caramel, so we will be selling caramel apples this Wednesday and Friday from 2:00-3:10 for $1.00. We will be saving the drinks to sell at a future fundraising event.
In honor of loved ones who have served or are currently serving our country, the TOBC wall of honor is up near the main sanctuary and ready to be enjoyed by any TOBC or TOCS families.
I would also like to invite any students who are in 5th and 6th grade to attend Mrs. Shelley’s Monday after school Bible study/ fellowship time from 3:30 – 4:30. The next one will be November 8th in the Spanish room.
