News in a Nutshell – Sept 26, 2017

Dear TOCS Family,

Well we are nearing the finish line for the 1st 9 weeks of school.  That means we are almost to fall break and grade cards.  I hope as a family you will be able to spend some quality time together during the break.

I wanted to let you know that tomorrow is “See you at the Pole.”  The entire school will be gathering at 9:05 a.m. to pray.  I know many of you work but you are invited to join us.  This time allows our preschool to be a part of the event as well.  If you cannot come maybe you can take a few minutes wherever you are to pray.

When we return from fall break we will have a new traffic pattern.  The current back entrance is very narrow.  There is also a tree that makes the access even more tight.  That tree is on private property and we cannot do anything about it.  Across from the tree there is a hole that can cause damage to cars.  That entrance also sits right next to a 3-way stop.  We will close that entrance and open the one located just up the hill from it.  We feel that this entrance will be safer.  I will try to get a diagram sent home next week.

Please remember that I am always here to serve.  I am happy to help your family in any way that I can.  Please let me know how I can help.

In Christ,
Jimmy Webb  School AdministratorY9

Help TOCS Earn Free Stuff

Do you shop at Food City or Ingle’s; eat products with a Box Tops for Education logo; or drink Coca Cola products? If so, you could help us earn “free” school equipment.  Please check the information attached to see some of the companies that are helping schools earn money for/or educational equipment.

Our 1st submission date for the Box Tops program is Nov. 1. Please check at home to make sure you have collected and sent all the box tops you have available.

Food City and Ingle’s savings cards need to be re-linked each year to TOCS in order for us to receive credit for your dollars spent.

Boxes are available in each classroom, even preschool, for collecting box tops, labels for education items, printer cartridges, and coke rewards items; items can be turned in all year, but we are only allowed to mail them in for credit a couple of times each school year.   Thank you for helping our school and share with friends and family, too!
